Under the Castle

TEAM WANG design is a luxury streetwear label founded by Jackson Wang. In continuation of the halloween campaign that MERCY spearheaded in the previous year, TEAM WANG design decided to bring the story to life by organizing a carnival that consisted of a haunted mansion, a market with food, cosmetics and merch, and many fun activations. They invited MERCY for the second year in a row to create an animation to continue the story of Pumpkie & Spooky, now dubbed Under the Castle, and to have it serve as the trailer for the haunted mansion as well as the whole event. As we were made aware their intention of extending this story into a comic book and animation series down the road, we began crafting the story of the origin of Pumpkie and Spooky as the foundation for the following years. We took the animation to the next level by adding more colors, higher quality rendering, sound design, and exciting camera movements than the previous animation to breathe more life into the story and characters.
